Hardware in the Loop Electrical Engineer

Youwill be responsible for reviewing electrical schematics and specifications tounderstand how electrical features are implemented in design, determining howthey work, and defining how they should be wired/connected for subsystem leveltesting
Interfacewith Design and Release engineers and suppliers to understand the how theelectrical features in the vehicle operate; Identify the critical signalrequirements and interfaces necessary for feature to operate properly outsidethe vehicle
Participateas part of the Hardware-in-the-Loop test team
Developa strategy to interface with the hardware to allow the functions to besimulated and tested outside the vehicle
Workwith hardware engineers to support the buildup of a test/simulation bench
Stayapprised of electrical changes to the vehicle system architecture and theimpact on the HiL test systems
Stayup to date on new electronics and system being integrated into the vehicles
Monitorand maintain operational status of HiL Racks for testing purposes and work withprograms to insure proper functionality of the HiL
Developefficiency improvement actions for the technical information gathering process
Workwith the program team to get involved earlier in the planning process tosupport decisions making on build requirements
Researchand recommend new lab improvements and sustainment strategies
Developand enforce safe plans of actions for all test and facility activities
B.S.in Electrical Engineering
Two(2) years of experience preferred
Acandidate with a technical aptitude driven to get into the technical details ofelectrical designs and understand how they work
Strongtechnical aptitude specifically in the area of electrical signals and readingschematics
Knowledgeof automotive electrical subsystems, sensors and wiring required
Strongcomputer skills including Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, etc.

Day Shift
Necessity for regular attendance and urgency for punctuality are critical
Work hours are normally 8 hours per day and 5 days per week, Monday-Friday. Regular attendance of scheduled hours is extremely important. Punctuality and regular attendance are necessary. Must have the flexibility of work days to cover weekend testing requirements.
Other Essential Functions
Must demonstrate professional behavior at all times when dealing with customers, management and co-workers. Must have clear, concise and accurate communications skills in English, both verbal and written. Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk to self or others. Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner. Dependable personal transportation to work site is required.
Must complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, health performance evaluation, and background check.
