Zeal Credit Union is seeking to fill a part time Service Associate (Teller) position in Allen Park.
The primary purpose of this position is to assist the Credit Union in achieving its service mission of building trusted relationships by providing members with superior financial solutions and outstanding service. In addition, the member service representative will maintain a cash drawer, handle member transactions such as deposits, withdrawals and other basic financial services and supports the Credit Union's Service and Solutions Culture.
Service Associate -Teller: Essential Functions
Provide the Highest Quality of service based on Credit Union Service Standards:
Respond to members, requests, problems, and complaints or direct them to the proper person for specific information and assistance.
Promote and cross sell Credit Union products and services based on member's needs.
Process member transactions, requests, and maintenance.
Balance teller drawer
Service Associate -Teller: Job Qualifications
Required:
High school diploma or G.E.D equivalent.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Intermediate knowledge of Windows
Minimum 1 year of cash handling experience
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong research and problem resolution skills
30 words per minute typing proficiency
10 number per minute 10 key proficiency
Basic mathematics skills
Excellent customer service skills
Basic knowledge of debits, credits and standard calculations using a 10 key calculator
Preferred:
Previous sales experience
Financial institution experience
Service Associate -Teller: Hours
Monday 8:30a - 5:15p
Thursday 8:30a - 5:15p
Friday 8:30a - 6:15p
2 Saturdays a month 8:45a - 1:15pEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
