As a Capacity Constraints Supplier Technical Assistance Engineer you will represent Ford Motor Company during your interactions with suppliers. You will take a leadership role inside Ford and with our suppliers regarding real time resolution of capacity constraints including deployment on-site, Verification of supplier capacity, manage supply containment actions and implementation of incremental tools and ensuring adequate supply protection for Ford Assembly plants. This is a full time, temporary
position
.
We are looking for Engineers with experience in Lean Manufacturing, Advanced Product Quality Planning, and the Production Part Approval Process.
Additionally, you will be responsible for:
Pro-Actively Mitigating Supply Constraints that will involve engagement on-site at Supplier locations
Interfacing and managing relationships with Suppliers, Ford Site STA Management, Capacity Planning, Purchasing, Material Logistics personnel
Managing, Executing & Communicating status of Capacity Verification Audits for vehicle lines with Capacity Uplift actions
Reviewing incremental capacity work plans for robustness and assessing interim capacity support plans to protect supply
Managing containment of capacity shortfalls and escalating execution delays to STA Site Management & Cross-Functional Team
Working with MP&L Constraints team to establish supply containment and monitor supply risks
Managing Weekly Status Reporting for At Risk Suppliers and Supplier Capacity Implementation Status Tracking
Minimum Requirements:
5 years' experience with quality improvement, quality processes, or industrial engineering in a manufacturing environment
Bachelors of Science Degree in Engineering required
Ability to travel to Supplier facilities up to 80% of the time
Strong analytical problem solving skills and lean manufacturing knowledge
Strong knowledge of AIAG APQP and PPAP processes
Program management and
computer
skills.
High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse people and cross-functional teams
Effective oral and written communication skills
Preferred Skills/
Experience:
Degree in Engineering with a concentration in ME, EE, ChE, or IE
Previous Ford Manufacturing experience
