Summary:
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) will provide basic patient care under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
The CNA will assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and eating.
The CNA will also help patients with mobility and transfers, take vital signs, and document patient information.
The CNA will work closely with the nursing staff to ensure the highest level of patient care.
Responsibilities:
Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and eatingHelp patients with mobility and transfersTake vital signs and document patient informationAssist with patient charting and record keepingCommunicate with nursing staff regarding patient careProvide emotional support to patients and familiesFollow infection control procedures and maintain a clean and safe environmentPerform other duties as assignedRequirements:
Current certification as a Nursing Assistant in the state of MichiganHigh school diploma or equivalentAbility to read, write, and communicate effectively in EnglishAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAbility to lift and move patients as neededBasic computer skillsMust be able to pass a background check and drug screenWorking Conditions:
The CNA will work in a healthcare setting, such as a hospital, nursing home, or assisted living facility.
The work may involve standing for long periods of time, lifting and moving patients, and exposure to infectious diseases.
The CNA may be required to work weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts.
